The winds of change are blowing throughout the world to guide us toward peace. Spirit winds are leading us toward right relationship with all creation. The world needs our compassion. How do you notice where the winds of spirit are guiding you?

For more than twenty years, Spiritual Directors International has been gathering contemplative leaders from around the world and across traditions to teach and learn from each other. Cultivating Compassion links you with the world of people who are passionate about compassionate listening.

2012 Cultivating Compassion Educational Events brings together more than forty international presenters who will offer a variety of workshops, institutes, a local pilgrimage, and two unique contemplative retreats. Participants will receive tools and support for cultivating compassion in their own lives and the lives of others.

New Contemplatives Initiative

Are you a spiritual companion under the age of forty? Spritual Directors International invites you to apply for the New Contemplatives Initiative. For the first time, full scholarships and bursaries for emerging spiritual companions will be available through this exciting initiative which seeks to welcome and nurture the next generation of spiritual directors. Who participates?

Everyone who wants to cultivate compassion and who is interested in the ministry and service of spiritual companionship. Join the SDI global learning community to engage with spiritual directors and guides, seekers and teachers, theology faculty and students, chaplains, hospice and health care providers, lay and ordained ministers, art therapists, marriage counselors, life coaches, mindful lawyers, social justice workers, peacemakers, and more. CEU credits are available.
